About OPal:
OPal is being created as a joint initiative of 2 research centers, CEI-Iscte (Center for International Studies) & CRIA (Center for Research in Anthropology Network) @ Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon.

OPal will be dedicated to the interdisciplinary field of Palestine Studies, representing a significant milestone in the development of a critical and urgent approach to Palestinian history, society, and politics. OPal is also a pioneering academic initiative within the EU in its field.

As the genocide against the Palestinian people reaches unprecedented proportions, OPal affirms the importance of academic rigor combined with ethical responsibility.

The event is open to the public.

Sobre o OPal:
Por iniciativa conjunta de dois centros de investigação, CEI-Iscte (Centro de Estudos Internacionais) e o CRIA (Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia), do Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa está a ser criado o OPal.

O OPal será dedicado ao campo interdisciplinar dos Estudos da Palestina, sendo um marco relevante no desenvolvimento de uma abordagem crítica e urgente à história, sociedade e política palestinianas. O OPal é também uma iniciativa académica pioneira, dentro da União Europeia, na sua temática.

Quando o genocídio contra o povo palestiniano atinge proporções sem precedentes, o OPal afirma a importância do rigor académico aliado à responsabilidade ética.

O evento é aberto ao público.
